Solomon's Private File #134
These stories about Stephen and Solomon take place starting in
1950's. Stephen wrote about his life in letters to a penpal, and then
in a secure blog, in case he lost his memory again, in the master
computer in his school for gifted students, which he started attending
in 2016 in a new incarnation, until his death. Now his son Solomon is
attending the same school, and is writing in his own secure blog for
his future incarnations.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
Solomon is 19 in this story, in the Winter of 2045-2046.
Solomon's Private File #134 "Iron Lady On CNN"
START Page
I said to Donna before the show at CNN, "You're known for hard
hitting interviews." I said with a grin, "I can hit harder." She
cleared her throat nervously. I said, "And my good friend here is
pretty good at that too, and has no problem with finding motivation."
Iron Lady tried not to laugh. I said, "Want a real life demonstration,
it will be with just two. I or she might not be in it." A big gulp.
Iron Lady hugged her and said, "It's not that bad. He can break things
gently." The director in the control room just had to laugh, and
loudly. I said to her, "Melting your earpiece?" She said, "Just about.
Are you serious?" I said, "I never lie. You attack, I stop it. Could be
in different ways. I could shut down your whole network, instantly. Or
just this studio. Or take it over, and broadcast interesting cartoons
of you. Or just leave." She said, "Er, what kind of cartoons?" I said,
"I'm sorry, but nothing pornographic." She said, "Are you pulling my
leg?" The director was trying not to strangle, when I said to my
companion, "What do you think, that one look a little longer?" She
said, "Could be. Got a big caliper, we can take some measurements." The
director said in the air, "I KNEW you would run with that!" I said, "I
knew you knew that. Our host obviously didn't. Think the warmup was
successful?" He said, "I hope so. I tried to warn her. She'd better be
careful, or she's going to look like a fool on air."
I said to Donna, "Got it?" She said, "I hope so." I said, "Think.
You're new with this with me. Did they make you study the other shows,
and with my father?" She started to look more intelligent, and said, "I
see it now. They didn't. You think they wanted to see if I would, like
I know now I should have?" I said, "I'm a teacher. They used both of us
and this situation to teach you. They were positive I would help you,
and would know that at the start. And there is another reason. See if
you can get it." She said, "They get what they want both ways. I do a
good and survivable interview, and we're all happy, and I'm less likely
to get me fired, or I cause some outrageous behavior to happen, to
priceless publicity, on my last day at the network." I said, "Probably
not that bad, but in those directions, yes. It's not all your fault,
but somebody is going to get a little more than they might want of my
conversational ability, about this. No, your director and producer
aren't quaking in their boots. They're wearing shoes." She tried not to
laugh. Iron Lady didn't bother to use any restraint. I said, "I wonder
what their boss might think about them losing control of the cameras,
and instead of a talking head, the public only sees a twitching nose.
Who can prove they didn't cause that?" She said, "But you just said
it." I said with an evil grin, "True. But there is a lot I didn't say,
and I have a very creative imagination, and a well known twisted sense
of humor, just aching to be used." The director said in the air, "I'm
sorry! I apologize! WE apologize! It was wrong! We won't do it again."
I said, "I doubt that, but it's not me you'll have to answer to. If we
hadn't had an extra guest this time, I would have left, and Fox would
have a new regular guest that they've been trying to get for years. My
family has made CNN our almost exclusive er, outlet, for a lot of
reasons, but most of all for the professionalism. Sometimes change is
good."
I said to Donna, "Standard rules. When I'm here for a specific topic,
that's all we do. With a guest, it's FOR the guest. We've been asked to
do this show for my friend's advancement ceremony at Shaolin, not to
ambush me with salacious junk, and use me to monopolize the time here.
This is NOT my time to shine. My friend rules. I'm here only as
support, and to say things about her which she might not say herself in
proper modesty. Understand?" She said, "I do. Thank you for making it
clear. This sink or swim thing is just as terrifying in the studio as
it is in the ocean, including sharp tooth sharks." I said, "Drier,
though." Iron Lady said to me, "She called you a shark." Before Donna
could apologize, I said, "I've been called worse. That one's not bad,
though. Worked well. I like that." I gave Donna a big grin. She
chuckled, half in amazement. I told her, "Go with the flow. You'll be
alright."
Donna opened the show by introducing us. Then she asked Iron Lady
good questions about her job at the FBI and her martial arts abilities.
I added some hyperbole. Then she asked how we met. I said, "I sometimes
borrow an office in the FBI building in DC to do candidate approval
interviews, for elective office and other things. It's secure, and they
have secretaries. I felt her presence in the building, and recognized
her outstanding ability and potential. I visited her at the Academy,
and offered to teach. She accepted." Iron Lady grinned and said, "Just
accepted? More than that, it was one of the most important decisions in
my life." She was asked what Chi was, and it was explained well. Then
they ran some videos, and I described some of the action. She asked,
"Are there other Senior Masters?" I said, "On Earth? Yes. Most are not
recognized as such, and don't want to be, except by their personal
students. There are some with the capability, who are nearing that
level, and there are many more who think they are, and are not, and may
never be."
She said, "Please tell us about your own martial arts training." I
said, "All in my school have to learn martial arts to at least the
level of black belt. It's for defensive capability, for physical
fitness, and mental improvement." She said, "Please explain that last
one." I said, "The study of martial arts involves and improves many
mental abilities, such as concentration, discipline and self control,
fast thinking under pressure, creativity, planning, strategy,
confidence, and calmness." She said, "Calmness? Really?" I said, "Sure,
calmness. You get all tensed up, you can't do it. The best martial
artists are some of the most relaxed people you'll ever meet. Also
helps with meditation. I had a problem with the study of it. I wasn't
interested. Disappointed my father. I did earn a black belt, and
stopped. Then I discovered that on missions, knowing it, and more,
showing it at a high level, could be useful, because we don't want
people who don't know us, to know we can do some very strange things.
One of those missions was shown here not too long ago. I was challenged
to a duel. So, when I was 14, I spent an entire summer studying with
the best martial artists available. One of them is my Uncle Hawk. I
became better, so much so, he couldn't lay a hand or foot on me, while
I could strike at will. We studied a lot of different arts, and I
became an expert in them, and a Senior Master. Then I did something
nobody else did before, that I shouldn't have. My mother doesn't know
part of this. You don't know it, but I can feel her er, interest in
this increase dramatically." They grinned.
I said, "My father was the greatest martial artist of all time, even
before he did extensive time research on the subject, which he gave to
the Shaolin Temple to use as a training aid for ALL styles. Well, I
copied all that into my mind. That wasn't a problem for me, who could
and did copy entire universities into my mind. What I did with the
copying is like reading a book you can't forget. That's not the same as
being able to use the knowledge well. I thought that wasn't good
enough, so I integrated all that new knowledge into my whole martial
arts abilities. No one of us had ever tried anything like that before,
except with a language. What I did was thousands of times more
involved, and I did it all at once in about two seconds. I agree with
what my mother is yell, er saying in my mind." Smiles.
I said, "That was stupidly foolish. I could have fried my brain.
Literally. Didn't, though. They didn't know I what had done, until I
started demonstrating styles and techniques I didn't know before, that
they knew I never had the opportunity to learn. Then Hawk demanded to
know how I had learned all that. I told him, and he er, yelled at me.
He said if I hadn't already trained my body to be able to do those
things, having kind of programmed myself with those new moves, if I had
done them, I could have been severely injured. He was right. I had to
be a Senior Master to accept that kind of ability transfer. Then he
asked for it. I gave it to him, but in an easier and less dangerous way
than I had done with myself. It worked." She said, "Can you give that
to other Senior Masters?" I said, "I took into me a whole bunch of
martial arts at once. ALL the ones known in history. Nobody but a few
of my school students could take all that at one time, even with my
help, even those who are Senior Masters. But one art at a time, with a
headache, some may be able." I looked at Iron Lady. She said, "I am
proof of that. He gave me the Martial Arts and history of Shaolin. It
did hurt, but not that much, and took a few days to settle in, but it's
WELL worth it. I agree with his assessment. Needs to be just for Senior
Masters, VERY healthy ones, only. Or they die. NOT healthy." I said,
"And I decide. No arguments." She said, "Right. You could never allow
what you do to harm anybody." I bowed to her.
Donna asked, "Do other Senior Masters want you to award them with
that title and belt?" I looked at Iron Lady, and she said, "I've
received a lot of requests for that. For those who qualify, the FBI
Academy has offered to host the ceremony." Donna said, "Oh, that's
great! How many?" She said, "That's a problem; how to determine from an
email how qualified they are. I can't have them bothering everybody at
work. And I don't have time to teach them, and I'm very unwilling to
disappoint those who don't qualify. So I've asked Solomon to tell me
who qualifies. All he needs to do it look at them, and he can do that
remotely when they're in public." I said, "So far, of all who have
requested, only one would qualify, and that, just barely. Some could
qualify in a few years, but most are, well, it's difficult to put this
politely." Donna said, "Fantasizing?" I said, "Thanks. Yes." Iron Lady
said, "Someday I'll have a school where people can come to, to train
for this level. But only a very few students at a time. The practice
can be quite destructive." Smiles. The show ended.
Off air, I said to Donna, "You did very well!" She said, "Thanks! I
realize now, that if you hadn't set me at ease, I would have ruined
everything." I said, "You aren't the first with that problem with us."
She said, "Is it true that what one of you knows, all of you know?" I
said, "Possible, yes, but not automatically. We are a diverse group,
with different abilities and interests. Our missions are recorded for
the record, which means that practically everything we do outside of
our homes and school is recorded, and we all monitor each other. And
practically everybody watches me for entertainment reasons." Chuckles.
Iron Lady said, "And for another reason, I think. You are the most
intelligent, most skilled, and most powerful. They want learn from you,
and believe me, I KNOW that feeling." I said, "True, but we all learn
from each other, and that's not a bothersome thing at all. We all love
each other. Causes some interesting things offplanet." Donna said,
"What things?" I said, "With two of us together, males, we are assumed
to be, er, more than friends. Most of the galaxy doesn't think that's a
bad thing. But when they see us in mixed pairs, with the same love,
they become confused. It gets even more confusing to them when they
discover that gender and sexual orientation don't mean much to us and
our love, and that even includes compatible aliens. The fur of a
catperson on your skin, well, that really IS out of this world." She
said with interest, "Wow!" I said, "We say that after we recover."
Chuckles. I said, "There is one more thing that REALLY throws them,
which we can't show on TV."
She was REALLY interested in that, and said, "I have to know! What is
it?" I said, "It's something some of your associates already know. Our
love is so intense, it can cause an involuntary physical response, the
first time we hug them. My father and myself being the strongest, have
had that happen with our hugs the most." She said, "Involuntary the
first time. What about the second." I said, "Voluntary. Third, often
with some eagerness." She said, "I'm almost afraid to ask. What is the
response?" I said, "Arousal of varying intensity, sometimes resulting
in orgasm in the hug. Er, comes as a big surprise. That happened with a
Monk with my father, and a Posintin alien with me. Big mess. Oh, and
the alien knew it could happen." She said, "Gender?" I said, "He was
the Posintin Ambassador to the Galactic Council. As I said, gender and
orientation play a very secondary role in our love." She said, "But
sex?" I said, "What about it?" She didn't know that to say, and was
even more embarrassed by our grins.
I said, "You know all the crew are listening." That woke her up. I
said, "We all have our individual feelings and opinions on it, like in
any other group, but we have rules, too. We take going all the way very
seriously, and we do NOT have unplanned pregnancies. They say it takes
a village to raise a child. Well, we are more than a village in that,
with our love." She said, "I know I shouldn't ask, but are you faithful
in marriage?" I said, "I do what my wife says." Galya said in the air,
"Darn right!" I said, "That was her. She's the daughter of our foremost
expert on the military, and a fierce fighter. Those things didn't end
in that generation. And her father is our head engineer, for which he
just thanked me for the belated mention. Oh, he wants me to tell you
about his claim to fame among us. The first to have sex with an alien.
A catwoman starship engineer. When he's remembering that, his wife has
NO problem with it. Well, we all feel each others' feelings. Some
sharing can be a little, er, exciting." She said, "Wow!" I said, "Oh
yes!" I said, "We work hard, so we play in that condition, too."
Laughter all over the studio.
floor." I explained to Donna, "He's kind of our practical expert on
laughing." She grinned and nodded. I stood and said, "This could go on
forever, which we don't have. Time to go. So, time for hugs. That's
right, free hugs for everybody, all the love you could ever want, all
at once. Come one, come, er, that didn't work right." Almost hysterical
laughter. I said to the Iron Lady, "I hope Hawk survives. Oh, that made
it worse." Renewed laughter. I held out my arms. Crew came first for
the hugs. Then others in the studios and other CNN facilities, came in,
and formed a line, when word was passed. Almost all had some arousal,
and for some, it was obvious, but they didn't care, while floating in a
happy daze. Iron Lady helped them to sit, or to leave, with Donna's
assistance. No orgasms, but it was close for a few people, some who
headed to rest rooms to finish. Then there was only Donna and Iron lady
left. Donna was very embarrassed. I was patient. She came into my arms,
and I gave her all my love, and it happened. She went all stiff, and
vibrated, and then shook, trying not to yell. When it was over, she
fainted. I put her in a chair. Iron Lady said, "I'll have what she's
having." We grinned at the classic movie reference. I said, "Your will,
like in everything else you do, rules in the hug." She nodded. We
hugged. I found out right away what her will was, but she didn't faint.
After a little rest, I ported her home. Then myself. Galya said,
"Interesting. If you had added love stroking?" I said, "I'm not sure I
would want to be in the same room with that going on, with my sensitive
small.
