Solomon's Private File #123
These stories about Stephen and Solomon take place starting in
1950's. Stephen wrote about his life in letters to a penpal, and then
in a secure blog, in case he lost his memory again, in the master
computer in his school for gifted students, which he started attending
in 2016 in a new incarnation, until his death. Now his son Solomon is
attending the same school, and is writing in his own secure blog for
his future incarnations.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
Solomon is 19 in this story, in the Summer of 2045.

I asked to visit with the President of Cuba. He said before I could
say anything, "Thank you for saving my people!" I said, "Er, you're
welcome. I should, so I did. Got a very important boss. Made me who I
am, so I do according to that." He said, "I think you mean more than
most people would assume from what you said." I said, "You're a
politician! You aren't supposed to be so intelligent." He laughed well.
I said, "You are correct. My father and I believe we were both created
through many incarnations, to be who we were in our last ones, very
deliberately, and for very specific reasons. And we both got
instructions at times for things to do, and how. But we can't do
anything about that. I'm here for a related reason, to ask for your
help in a personal matter, in strict confidence." He said, "Please
proceed!"
I said, "You said I am enlightened. Please tell me how you came to
believe that. I ask, because I don't want people to think that of me,
and worship me. It would be bad for them, and for the world." He said,
"I don't know how to explain it. A feeling. Something like you are
fully connected to existence, reality, and know it and us, in a way no
others can know." I said, "It's actually true. You're very perceptive.
Does it show in my disguise face?" He said, "I'm not sure. It could be
so, and also in how you move your body. You are fully aware of all.
Your feelings, your compassion and love, do show, but I don't know if
that is enough to explain everything. Does your true self show it?" I
said, "Very few people have seen my real appearance. Not even the
American President. I will show you, but be prepared. My aura, which I
can hide from most people, will be visible to all then, as was my
father's before he died." I stood, and dropped all disguise. He gasped,
and almost fainted. I said with a smile, "I didn't know I was that
ugly." He tried to say I wasn't, but I stopped him with, "A small
attempt at humor. I didn't intend to shock you, which is unusual for
me." He laughed and said, "That humor worked." I gave him a little bow
of thanks.
He said, "It does show, very much! Your eyes, significant?" I said,
"Same as I was as the first Solomon, but I don't know why now. Before
you ask, that baby wasn't mine!" He grinned and said, "I think you have
said that before." I said morosely, "So true!" I put my usual disguise
back on. He said, "I think you are justified in not showing your true
self. I think you may not want to accept such a reaction from the
people as they would have for your true nature revealed. They might
even believe you are Jesus returned." I said, "I've had that thought. I
was not that person. However, he did learn from my teachings at the
school I founded. I was not John The Baptist, although some have
thought that who I was in a life some time before that, was born again
in him." He said, "Would you tell me of that life?" I said, "I would
rather not. I wasn't the best of people. Much has been written about me
by many faiths, and most of it completely false. In that life, I was
supposed to be working for God, but I was too forceful, and even to
God. I actually lied to Him. I died in a fierce duel of power with
another Prophet, in a big ball of fire. Not the first time my father in
this life killed me in a past life, which I deserved." He said, "Wow!"
I said, "I really do hear that a lot." He said, "I really believe
that!" I said, "I've just said some things my people didn't know about.
Now I have to go and apologize to them. More hugs and kisses. Oh how
will I ever endure it!" We grinned at each other. We hugged with love.
I helped him to sit, and ported home.
Mom said, "I know who you were. I agree. Better to not reveal that
one." Hawk said, "There is something strange about that, and who you
are physically, that wasn't in the genes you got from your parents. Not
a coincidence." I said, "The Covenant. I have to agree. I don't want
to, but I can't avoid reality. I arrived pre-clipped. I discovered the
relationship when I studied Judaism, and affirmed it when I received
the memories of my past lives. That wasn't a good one." Mom said, "He
actually killed you." I said, "Sure did! We were both Adepts. Burned me
to less than a crisp. First time he did that to me, but wasn't the
last. All because I, as King Solomon, asked him to hide my stone when I
died. I wandered all over the known world through many incarnations
looking for it, but not actually knowing it. And being bad along the
way."
Hawk said, "Not bad now!" I said, "But there is a problem with that.
There is too much of me out there. Going to be more demands. Anger at
refusal. There is a way to head that off." Mom said, "I think I see it.
I should tell them of the risks you take, and that the more you do, the
closer you are to death." I said, "Been closer than you know, a few
times." She said, "Tell me one." I said, "Dad almost died learning how
to time dive. I mean rip apart the mind exploding brain died. That
actually happened a little, but he was able to heal himself. Same with
me. Two other S Kids can do it now, but I helped, so it was much safer.
I had to learn, so I could read the minds of the other dimension people
without their knowledge." Hawk said, "If you had made the Tokyo
people had died because of it, maybe. Don't! You know what you say
can't change who I am and what I know I should do." Mom said, "What you
and your father said about that makes more sense now. God put the world
through a lot to make you two, so He must have had a VERY good reason.
The fire, how close?" I said, "I DO weigh the odds carefully, and use
rational judgement on what is the acceptable risk. In broad terms,
about 90-10 in my favor. Less wouldn't have been worth the risk." She
said, "I think that was still too much risk." I said, "I agree, taken
in isolation, but in acquiring the new sharable technique, I think it
was just barely justified." She looked at me thoughtfully, and said,
"More respect. You're not foolhardy in this." I said, "Can't have
modesty in these kinds of appraisals. I have to fully calculate the
worth of my continuing existence in these things." She said, "I'll do
the announcement on a show. Let's work on it."
Mom asked CNN for a half hour, they gave it, with a big heaping of
surprise. Don introduced her, and said, "You asked for this time, but
you didn't give us a reason." She said, "I have one. It's about my son,
Solomon. He does a lot for this world and its people. Other worlds,
too. Even in other dimensions. But often he drives himself to do more
than he can do, and then somehow does it. He's been injured in that
many times, and almost died." He said, "I didn't know! But I knew he
wouldn't tell us. But, other dimensions?" She said, "We noticed an
unusual child in another country. He wouldn't talk to us, except to
Sol. Sol checked him out from a distance and discovered that while he
looked like us, he wasn't human. He had some psionic ability, too, and
would have detected his mind being read. Sol felt he needed to do that,
but the only way it could be done in a way it couldn't be detected is
to do it in the past." Don said, "Oh! The past research ability." She
said, "Yes. Only Stephen could do that, and did NOT show Sol how. Very
dangerous. A mind can get lost doing that, and one more thing I didn't
know until recently. Stephen almost died learning it. Severe damage,
but he managed to heal himself. Sol knew that, but learned it, and had
the same problems. He survived. He read that mind and found he came
from another dimension. They had been watching us for months. They
wanted his help for something. The boy they sent didn't know any more
than that. Sol knew it was a trap. He didn't know if he would survive
the trip to the other dimension, or if he did, his powers would work
there, or if he could ever return. He knew he had to go, because those
people sent a child on a dangerous mission without telling him why.
People who could do that, were likely to care even less about US, and
had the ability to do very bad things to us, that my group couldn't
have prevented."
Don said, "Wow! That was serious! Very serious! I understand why he
had to go. He WOULD do that." She said, "We knew. That didn't stop us
from crying for him." She wiped some tears. She said, "He touched the
boy, and they disappeared. What he did in the other dimension we aren't
sure about. He hasn't told us much." He said, "I can guess why. He
didn't want you to worry about him after the fact." She said, "Exactly.
Very dangerous. Two dimensions were fighting with each other. One was
going to be destroyed. He arranged for peace. In doing that, he learned
all they knew about dimensions and how to travel between them, and
almost died in that process. Well, he did all that learning in less
than a second, as soon as he appeared there, so he could control the
situation. That was more than his father could have done. The result of
all of that, is that boy is now Sol's student, and we have detectors
going so that if ANY other dimension looks at us, even a microsecond of
a peep, their interdemensional equipment is going to be gone in a
flash, and their knowledge of how to make it will be taken from their
minds. We will NOT allow the people of Earth to be endangered by
ANYBODY not of Earth." He said, "Wow! I have to say, thank you for all
of us." She said, "For Sol, you're welcome. His mission, his decision,
and his words. He's a nice person. He acts that way, too. But he isn't
always that, when he needs to be er, firm." He said, "I don't know how
to say this, but more than we know you can er, be?" She said, "I take
that as a complement." He looked relieved. She said, "My opinion could
be thought to be biased. I can show you better."
She projected my breaking match on Posintan. She said, "Sol had been
studying martial arts seriously for only a few months. He was 14." When
it was over, Don said, "I see what you mean. Maximum determination.
What he said to the reporter is something we should all learn from."
She said, "Yes. He has said something about giving a love and healing
broadcast to 37 worlds. None of us had ever tried that. He could have
died. There were other times during that mission that the odds of his
survival were were not that great. He didn't do that mission just for
those worlds, but for all of us. They were expanding, and would
eventually reach us. But on Earth, he's faced even greater danger. He
can predict earthquakes by extending mind feelers into the ground all
over the world. We don't know how he does that, and if the strain of
that might eventually kill him. Recently, he tested a time stasis field
with people in it, to see if he could to that for the whole of
Guantanamo. If anybody had died in that test, so would have Sol.
Fortunately, it was a success." Don said, "I see what you mean. He does
take too many risks."
Mom said, "I tried to stop his last experiment. A big wildfire. He
was going to take all the energy of the fire into himself, and convert
it to light. None of us thought he could do it fast enough to keep him
from er, exploding all over. He blocked me. I don't know how close he
came to dying in a very messy way. He won't tell us the full story. But
he succeeded, and can do it safely now. He said that was what made it
worth the risk. There is a risk to his life in everything he does that
goes beyond some limit we won't know in advance until it happens. For
all of our group, actually. We port too many people to safety at once,
that could be the last thing we ever do. For Sol, the risk is much
higher, because of his responsibilities. He does more, and more new
things, so we can learn from him. But there is one thing that hurts him
most of all. It's when he has to investigate a crime, and be near a
criminal. More than once, that affected him so badly, most of us
couldn't do much work, until he recovered. Well, we feel each other's
emotions, and of everybody, and Sol is the most sensitive. In one bad
case, he was ready to end his life. You don't know what the mind of a
real murderer is like, or to take that into your own mind to learn what
happened and why. I do that a little in applying the suicide bomber
consequence. Sol does it much more in his work. It really hurts in a
way I can't describe,"
Don said, "PLEASE tell him not to do that! I think we can understand
this more. If we demand too much of him, that could kill him. He would
HAVE to help." She said, "Exactly. There is one more thing I want to
show you. His last offworld mission, where he deliberately injured
himself." She showed it, including my broken ankle, and on Posintan.
The show went over time, but there were no complaints. Don said, "Is he
as powerful as his father was?" She said, "In all ways, more and
better, including wisdom." He said, "He's enlightened, isn't he." She
said, "Sol prefers that people don't think of him that way. To us, he's
a great and loving person with a really odd sense of humor that makes
us laugh and think at the same time." Don said, "Thank you, Rose, for
showing us Solomon. I think we should all try not to push him to do too
much for us. We do NOT want to endanger his life. That loss would be
terrible for the world." Rose said, "And to me, and to all who know him
personally. He can't fix everything, and shouldn't try to." He said,
"We should be grateful for all he does to help, and not insult him with
complaints." She said, "It's not an insult. Psychologists don't feel
that way. But it does hurt him VERY much that he can't help more.
Reminding him of that, increases that hurt. And when he hurts, I hurt,
and so does all who love him." She indicated she was finished. Don
said, "We are out of time. Rose, please come back again, when you have
something to say." She said, "I might. Thanks." They were off air.
Don said, "Was he squirming in embarrassment?" Mom laughed and said,
"Absolutely! He didn't know I was going to show his last mission, but I
wanted to show that he isn't all force. He succeeds in his missions
more with wisdom and compassion, and rarely uses any special powers."
He said, "Can I say that about him?" She said, "Yes. But one thing in
confidence." He said, "Agreed." She said, "He does that kind of mission
here on Earth, too. Almost no special powers. A few times as himself,
but most times as a regular person." He said, "Like what he said to the
children of the ranting movie star?" She said, "Exactly, but on a
slightly bigger scale. Some government officials of this and other
countries are aware of it, and cooperate with him, because he doesn't
just succeed, he teaches the people with him. Improves them. In fact,
he values those missions more than his bigger ones." He said, "He
would. He's a people person." She said, "He is love." He nodded. They
hugged and she ported home.
I said to Mom, "Thanks. Won't know how well it works, but can hope.
Unfortunately, you exposed my Russian Colonel." She was surprised, and
apologetic, and said, "I didn't know! How?" I said, "I described the
broken ankle situation to my team, in discussing martial arts with
them. Remember, like everywhere else, on these missions I can't lie, so
I have to use parts of my real life in what I say. You broke the
script, and caused damage. Your pride in me is a little too much for
you to resist, but it causes real problems. I have just had to remove
their memories of it. That was barely on this side of being just. I had
more use for that Colonel, and with the Russian. I don't know if I can
use that character again, and face them with what I had to do." Mom
actually cried. I hugged her and said, "It's not so bad. Could have
been worse. You could have shown me naked and pointing." She tried not
to giggle. Unsuccessfully.
