Moviefan,
Misinterpretations are a part of life, especially across different
languages and cultures. Some people are more quick to respond than
others, sometimes before they fully understand to what they are
responding. This is understood in these newsgroups (I hope), and
explanations and apologies can usually heal these difficulties. Just as
you are doing with this post.
So, please don't think that you have to "shut up", just think of this
situation as another learning experience.

If I had to "shut up" every time I was involved in a misinterpretation,
I would have strangled long ago! :-)
