The .000 file only? Is there another way to view what a 000 file says other
than running it through JAS? Is there another program that is able to read
this file? If I run the 000 file thru JAS, it will tell me how many parts
there are but with the last part not being a full one it's not possible to
tell the exact file size.

I agree. I can't believe how many times (with my old news server) I went
from server to server trying to find parts and not always finding them but
having the attitude that what I did get was better than nothing. Now I see
where that thinking was as flawed as the copies I was getting.
