First of all, anything you post openly to this newsgroup is fair game
for comment. Newsgroups are public domains.
If you are afraid of flames, then perhaps you should send your
comments to "your fellow posters" only via email?
As far as me being a "leech," how do you know what I have posted or do
post? Just because I am not posting right now, or in this particular
group, does not a leech make. I've been around for a long, long time
under many names and I subscribe to many groups. Trust me when I tell
you that I have earned the right to post my opinions, but even if I
had never posted a thing, this is still a public newsgroup and I
(along with everyone else with access) have the right to comment on
posts.
As to posting content, there are many things I find objectionable in
these groups (and the 23 other active groups that I'm aware of). I
never said I disagreed with you about disliking a particular vid or
subject, I just stated that it was hypocritical for anyone that lurks,
or posts in these newsgroups to ever condemn someone for their posts.
Personally, I wouldn't want to see any of my relatives posted in
anything on topic in this group.
Why should we allow all posts that are remotely on contact? Because
you don't have to download it if you don't like it. When it comes to
posts with attachments, I make it a policy not to comment one way or
the other about the posts for reasons I stated earlier. I believe
that the posts to this group (and all the others) should flow freely
without criticism.
Personally, I think we should avoid doing what we're doing right now.
There are other groups that are for text messages only where we could
debate the merits of particular posts. Lets let posters post what
they may and lurkers download what they wish. Remember, this group is
for outcasts. Bringing more prejudice into the group only makes it
worse. I am not here to make anyone angry or cause more hate, I only
wanted to make a point.
