Hi Tim,

Firstly, thanks for your previous message which I was about to reply to
and then it mysteriously disappeared. Weird but true. I think Xnews had
a quiet hiccup.
I don't think I've missed anything in this group although the start of a
couple of movies are missing in others in Easynews. I'll beg the
original posters and see what happens.

Thanks for the offer of help with the HD. I'll mail you with the details
of the problem later when the little men with hammers stop rushing
around inside my head. Suffice to say that I haven't lost much of my
'library' as I was able to burn everything to disc. All my applications
were working - I just couldn't access control panel, system restore, my
docs, even the recycle bin!
