Just in case it's me, I should inform you of things of which you seem
to be unaware. It's a little puzzling to me that you should want to
assume things that would require more knowledge than you have, to do
well.
I never lie.
I can repost some of my previous posts on the subject of lying, and why
it's bad, if you're interested.
The clergy, of various denominations, are involved in a vicious war
with each other, inside their various various specialties. It's been
like this for centuries. It's the same for psychologists. In dealing
with the mind and spirit, each one of us has different ideas and
feelings about many issues in these areas. But we usually keep most of
the dissagreements out of the public eye, because in both specialties,
our effectiveness depends on the confidence in our ability to help, of
those we help.
The information I wrote about is common knowledge among ALL religious
and mental health academics. Much of it a mater if historical record.
They would find no surprises in any of it.
Calling someone "sick", who disagrees with you, is a common tool that
is used by repressive dictatorships. The Soviets put political
dissidents in prisons for the insane. After all, if you thought that
Communism was wrong, you had to be crazy, right? And they got
"treatment", too. We would call it torture. Is this what you want for
me, and others who have ideas and thoughts that differ from your own?
Well, I have news for you, and it shouldn't be news. YOU are among the
very small minority that is hated by EVERYONE. Even the freedom loving
American government, and almost everyone in America calls you "sick",
and wants you DEAD.
While it seems that it shouldn't be so, the most oppressed minorities
can create some of the most reactionary and prejudiced individuals.
It's not a display of an understanding and compassionate nature, which
is the Christian ideal, to feel and express what you have here,
especially with what your presence here indicates of who you are.
In case you are wondering why I'm here, after saying all that, I'll
tell you. To put it in it's simplest terms, it's my ministry. :-)
I'm a counselor. I'm here to support YOU.
"You are as sick as Adolf was." I hope you don't really mean this, as
it's a statement that could NOT be made by a true Christian.
I also lost some family members to his activities. I had relatives in
his camps who were never seen again. I provided help to the
establishment of the Holocaust Memorial. I have seen things about this
that are too horrible to put on public display.
I fought for America and the cause of freedom, in a war that caused our
soldiers to be despised for our sacrifices we made in doing our duty,
by many other Americans. I had friends die around me in Viet Nam. I
hope you never have to experience what it does to your soul, to have to
kill other human beings as your duty to your country, and have people
who are your responsibility die for you so you could lead the others to
safety.
In America, we have the Constitutional Right to free speech. But some
of us have EARNED the MORAL right to exercise this with greater
authority. I have earned this right with my blood, and the blood of my
friends and family. I've sacrificed this much to defend your freedom to
say what you want, just so you could call me an "Adolf"?
You mentioned "sick". I hope you don't have too many mirrors.
I never attack anyone. I provide information that a useful education
can give you, and give insights that such an education can engender in
one. Sometimes my counseling can seem like an attack, but that is due
to the peculiarities of this Usenet environment, and the somewhat
warped perceptions of some ego inflated obstinate and resentful
individuals. When someone opposes what I do, not that they have to read
any of my posts, I defend it. But I still don't attack, only defend.
Calling someone bad names just to insult them, is an attack. I don't do
that. But you just did. So who's doing the attacking here? :-)
May you have a wonderful holiday season, and may the spirit who you
have accepted as your guide, help you to become a more compassionate
and understanding person.
