Hi,
I think STC-246 is using the encoding of a Video CD.
I suggest you download a small utility called GSpot at the following
address:
http://gspot.headbands.com/
Install Gspot and run it.
Running this utility and opening any movie with it will tell you if your
computer has the proper CODEC (COding DECoding software) intalled and
therefore if it can render the movie both video and audio.
If the CODEC is missing, you should use a link like this one:
http://abmefaq.net/codec.html
to get the proper CODEC downloaded and installed on your computer. There
are many other websites offering FREE CODECS. Use Google to find them.
These CODEC are running on any IBM compatible machine under Windows
Operating System (ask others for the proper links and tools if you have
another type of machine and/or Operating System).
I hope this will help you to help yourself.
