Yes, both will_rant and charlie are completely correct.
I have purposely disrupted several groups and caused posting to come to
a virtual stand-still all on my own.
I relish my awesome destructive power and will use it to ultimately
destroy all pedos and their sicko network of baby-raping evil...
Or maybe there's something else going on.
Maybe there's a new wave of ultra-right fascism spreading its ugly head
around the globe, infecting even the fringes of society like this one.
This sudden movement toward unnecessary secrecy, obsequiousness, and
demonizing of anyone who dares to question presumed authority is so
sickeningly pervasive as to make me question the intestinal and moral
fortitude of our species.
I am a "spin doctor" because I call for a more civil tongue in people
trying to stop newbies from screwing up? DId I even once say that I
thought cross-posting was in any way acceptable? Sure, I may have set
an arbitrary and entirely too liberal yardstick of "a few days" for
thoughtless cross-posting. But I hardly think that qualified me as some
kind of political appeaser. I think your reaction, will_rant, was an
attempt to minimize your culpability in regards to your unnecessary
rudeness.
I am "helping to stop posting" in groups because I try (in vain
apparently) to convince posters that using passwords and forcing people
to kiss their asses is no way to stop trolls?
Look at what's happening here.
It's as if everyone wants to emulate the Bush administration. Be
sneaky, nasty, and arrogant, then demonize anyone who has the balls to
point out the hypocrisy and deceitfulness of others.
Ho-hum.
I guess if I'm getting chided by assholes from other newsgroups who
follow me around to attack me, maybe it's time to enlist some help from
cooler heads.
I'll get back TO you on that, charlie. You're a clown.
Will_rant, when you apologize out of one side of your mouth and chastise
people who rightly admonish you for the very thing you are apologizing
for out of the other side of your mouth, you leave many with the
impression that either your apology is half-hearted or your chastisement
is merely defensive drivel, not well-reasoned criticism.
I will say, however, that your more elaborate explanation regarding the
dangers inherent in cross-posting was exemplary. Well done.
Flame me, if it makes you feel good. I've got heat-resistant skin and
heal fast.
I really think its about time everyone started to be more kind to one
another. We really are all we've got. The name-calling, the demands
for tribute, and the other forms of bullying are getting way out of hand.
I can honestly say that I have never attacked anyone who didn't take the
first punch, either at myself or someone innocent.
Can you say the same?
