Thanks!
I think you are pointing out that my use of the word 'available' was a bit
sloppy. Of course, the availability of a given file is less a matter of size
(except in the case you point out of size limitations) than it is other
factors.
I was commenting on the flexibility in scheduling downloads that dial-up may
(note the word 'may') necessitate or enable (putting the phone to other use
as you point out).
Does it need to be pointed out that a 350MB (in total) movie is 350MB whether
it comes 500K at a time or 750K at a time? Perhaps.
Thanks for clarifying. I did ask for it, and your remarks were
helpful....right up to the end of course.
At that point you lapse into one of your typical gratuitous slanders (in
effect calling me stupid) and your usual condescending stance (suggesting I
try to meet some standard you are imposing as self-appointed arbiter of the
Usenet. Just a sign or your own insecurity (this ongoing need to be
'right') as I (and numerous others) have pointed out in the past.
This is a manifestation of your ego-clinging. The opposite of what a
follower of the Buddhist path would do. Such a person would abandon this
need to be right and 'above it all'. Hence my previous remarks on this
subject. For you to suggest (as you did) that somehow my remarks disparaged
Buddhism is just silly and you know it...just lashing out; that;s all that
was.
In any case, the clinging leads to suffering. Give yourself a break.
