There are other newsreaders for the Mac.
MT-NewsWatcher X 3.4. It's free and does yEnc. Some Thoth autoposters
will also work with it. Thoth evolved from it.
Unison 1.0.2. Not yet ready, doesn't post attachments.
Pan. A Linux program being developed and ported to the Mac. If it ever
gets finished, it could be very good, especially if it is scriptable,
or has a built-in autoposter.
The other newsreaders that don't post, aren't worth mentioning.
What in the world could you have missed of me?
In the past month, even *I* have disliked most of my posts.
It's going to be slow for some time. Want to guess why? :-)
The cause may not be what you may think.
Why do you think I've been impersonated mostly in newsgroups I don't
usually visit? I'll give you a hint, they weren't attacking ME. But why
use my name to attack others?
Ah, that *is* an interesting question. :-)
(Another hint; It's similar to why Ninja was just impersonated.)
There are a lot of newsgroups I don't visit much, but when I post in a
new one, bam, you are not far behind me. Then, I don't want to disturb
your posting, as seems to have happened in your main group.
If you are referring, with the welcome, to the group in which you last
pinged me (about the law), that belongs to NP. Only he can do the
welcome or unwelcome thing. Therefore, I will always be welcome there.
He and I have an understanding.
One of our mutual (young) friends told you that I was doing IMs with
him. After he said what he did, I explained (gently) to him (while you
were still online, I think), that it should have been *my* decision
regarding who is informed about what I was doing on the internet. He
now agrees. If you learned about what we decided, I hope you weren't
insulted. He needed to learn some basic internet social and security
practices. He also needed to see me as an good (I hope) example.
We could discuss more on these subjects later, if you want.
I'm still in the process of some major computer re-workings, so I will
probably be away for a few more days. I haven't decided what I will do
in the newsgroups after that.
Maybe I'll just lurk, and laugh at everyone. :-)
(I should be the one named Puck. Think about it...)
