I think that even with a crappy "paste" job on my part, you can get
the gist of my concerns.

I know perfectly how they work

I was acquitted from a WACO related busting in 1999, been using usenet
since 1995. How about you? <------Who can this be? LDU?

There you are, you pay to download multiple parts, and even so have
here
and there missing parts! How crazy! For your information I was busted
using an Altopia paid server in 1998, which was regarded by everyone
as
the most secure and that they wouldnt give any names without a
warrant.
Well, they got a warrant, they then can get your credit card details,
address, etc no matter what nickname you use.
You pay for a server? Then you are being monitored.
I am mucho more confident in a P2P system, they can see anything they
like. I have some excellent mp3 from Enya, Madonna, Cold Play, etc.

In Emule like you dont need passwords, YOU encrypt your files to make
them secure in a CD or drive. Its precisely my whole point.
Newsgroups are OK when using free servers, because you switch servers
all the time and they can never catch you. So this answer yet another
point for not using commercial servers. And with free servers you miss
file parts all the time.
That is why I maintain my arguments.
Newsgroups=free server=single files or few multiple parts
P2P=Large video files, like movies, DVD burning, etc.
Why do you think the movie sharing is done via P2P. Its also illegal.
Its piracy. Is any teenager afraid they will bust them for downloading
Matrix.
Have you ever suggested someone to download Matrix in multiple parts
(say 500)? Are you nutts?
I am just a curious guy. I am looking for music mp3 from other P2P
teens
and here and there I find a porn movie which I dont even know what its
content is until I download it. Thats my defense if I ever have to
defend myself again in court.
But you...my friend...by using a paid server you are really in danger.
Be careful.
