Windows 98 memory management is poor. If you have a large amount of
RAM (in the case of W98SE that is > 256 Meg) then it can grow dynamic
areas like VCACHE into static system address areas.
Go to Programms/Accessories/System Tools/System
Information/Tools/System Configuration Utility/Advanced and check the
box to limit your memory to 256 Mb or less.
(Except, of course, you can't do that now because you don't have
windows installed anymore).
