To anybody reading this group.
NICE holiday.
Since everybody in the family (except me) had other plans for
Christmas day itself, we all got together Christmas Eve, had the
obligatory Turkey, Cranberry-Sauce, Candied Yams, Stuffing, LOTs of
Mashed Potatoes, Peas, Cake, Ice-Cream, and snacks.
My wife was here, the kid, the kid's SO, ths SO's mother, two of the
kid's cousins, and me ... Oh yeah, and two cats (One hid; the kitten
did not).
Then we opened presents and the big CD-player played Christmas music.
Not too much this year; as nobody has a job; but everybody got *some*
kind of minor gift.
Then we played cards until late.
I drove everybody except the two cousins home.
Today I went down to the local American Legion Hall, where every
Christmas they put on a big Christmas Feed. More turkey, etc..
When we can, most of the family drops in there. It gives you the
Christmas Spirit. Besides, with everybody gone after the crowd, I was
feeling like a little extra company.
The two cousins of the kid were there too; but we each went and came
home separately.
Had leftover turkey, mashed potatoes, etc. again for supper later.
So Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.
