For those that load headers and read posts the posting will last long enough for
them to download.
Thems the folks i post for.
As to fully obfuscated posts i fear they aren't going to stop.
The NZB sites have a vested interest in there continued use.
They have always done it they are not a recent thing.
Most folks ignored them as they got what they wanted from teevee.
It was only after the EFNet bots stopped posting a lot of the shows that people
were drawn to them.
Years of everything posted in the clear or easily found by searching for the
REQID number suddenly snatched away.
You cant blame the EFNet posters, it was all risk and no reward.
NZB site users generally pay subs, so there is money in it for them.
So the obfuscation is primarily to make the shows hard to find for those who
aren't members.
Hiding files from the DNCA police is a secondary effect of the obfuscation.
They aren't doing it to help out non member leechers, they are more Sherriff of
Nottingham than Robin Hood.
Geek and Grabbit are quite leech friendly hence i and others recommended them as
a way to find shows for folks left in the cold by the absense of postings in
teevee.
They still want some subs but they can in the case of grabbit be used for free
and in the case of geek the subs are reasonable.
BTW
I get the impression that you think i post the spaghetti files.
Not so, i just tell folks what files are what from time to time to help out.
As to some of the NZBs not working.
Sabnzbd is the most reliable software to use, if an NZB doesn't work in SAB it
is very broken.
Sometimes the NZB will contain links to groups your News Server may not carry.
the newzbab A to Z groups for example.
Quite likely with nzbplanet and usenet crawler NZBs.
Another thing that can be a gotcha is filtering.
A while back when teevee got hammered many people added filteres banning certain
posters.
So make sure that filtering if applied to NZB ingest isn't banning the posters
of the content in the NZB. pr3d for example.
Also subject filters banning NEWZnzb for example.
Open up the NZBs in a text editor and have a look.
In NB Pro you can have different filter profiles applied to the groups including
a none setting.
I use none on NZB in.
Otherwise default/global is applied.
This did cause me some head scratching with certain NZBs not working.
Agent may have similar.
