I have conflicting information on the series 8 Christmas special. The list
I was working from has it as a repeat of an earlier program. I'm not
convinced this is right though. Kevin Hale's ISIHAC site doesn't have it as
a repeat and there's nothing in the BBC genome about it being a repeat
either. I think you're right that it's another missing episode.
I can't see an episode in the BBC genome for 25 December 1987. There was
one on BBC Radio 2 on 23 December. Kevin Hale has this marked as a repeat
but doesn't specify of which episode. Kevin's site has the running order
for all the episodes. It might be worth checking your 1987 special against
his site ...
