Trivia: Bennett's 1908 novel, "Buried Alive: A Tale of These Days", became a stage play called "The Great Adventure" that opened at the Kingsway Theatre, London, in 1913 with great success. Several film versions were made, and in 1968, a stage musical version called "Darling of the Day" led to a Tony Award for Patricia Routledge.
