Easily Embarrassed - Planet Discovery.txt
GENERAL INFORMATION
=====================
Album: Planet Discovery
Artist: Easily Embarrassed
Year: 2009
Genre: New Age / Electronic / Abstract / Downtempo / Ambient
DESCRIPTION
==================
The sound of EE on this disc is a really interesting and unexpected child of, on the one hand, space music (the old "new age" sound of acts like Tangerine Dream, Jean-Michel Jarre, Steve Roach and Kevin Braheny) and, on the other hand, what by all appearances is nothing less than a 100% electronic rearticulation of the structure of prog-rock ballads (think "Topographic Oceans"-era Yes with no guitars or organic instruments of any kind). I really recommend these guys to anyone who has a history with any of these old genres which are more venerated than openly praised.
It's a sort of music the appreciation of which can be cause for being easily embarrassed. I say forget the haters.
Recommended for anyone who was ever into a radio show called "Hearts of Space." After this, you've got a date with Ultimae Records. - seandevega on September 14, 2012
