Maybe he should instead learn how to search uenet.
He could recover ~70% if he had a premium news server.
After 20+ years of using computers I still don't have
everything backed up. In the last year I have made an
effort to do so. I still have a few drives to to go.
So many computers over the years and so little time.
Luckily I have had only 2 drives fail & both times
I was able to recover all the important data.
With a little diligence and patience he will rebuild
his archive of HOS.
