Hi Scott,
I know that some people don't like rar files, and have even set up
kill filters for them.
As to your problem creating par2 recovery files, what program are you
using? I haven't had any problems with QuickPar 0.9.1, even though it
is eleven years old. There is a new par3 program called MultiPar, but
I've never used it.
You could also try upgrading your PowerPost program to Camelsystem
Powerpost. Let me know if you want to go that route.
