Akikaze - Music From The Mesozoic.nfo
GENERAL INFORMATION
=====================
Album: Music From The Mesozoic
Artist: Akikaze
Year: 2009
Genre: New Age / Electronic / Berlin-School
DESCRIPTION
==================
The album 'Music From The Mesozoic' is a prequel to Akikaze's debut album 'Music From Misty Marshes'. As 20 years ago, the music was inspired by nature and its sounds, but this time by over 65 million years old sounds! That's why we call it a prequel. So we hear dinosaurs, pteranodons, giant dragonflies as well as smaller reptiles and insects in different environments. Also, the cause of the dinosaurs' sudden extinction is interpreted musically, which should finally solve this scientific puzzle. As 'In High Places', this album features real guitar sounds, but this time played by Pepijn Courant himself. Still the guitar plays a modest part compared to the lot of synthesizers and sequencers. This versatile album will especially appeal to analogue synthesizer enthusiasts. - Lothar Lubitz, SynGate
