I have an MP3 player which I use with headphones on buses and trains.
I don't mind receiving FLACs but when the majority of my listening is
in MP3 format and I run a FlacToMP3 converter if I have to in order to
listen, it saves a lot of messing about if I can download MP3s in the
first place.
Besides, I have a mis-spent youth listening to live music that was in
hindsight far too loud, and my hearing isn't up to much now I have got
to 70. I get very little extra from lossless compared to MP3 these
days.
