DESCRIPTION
==================
from http://www.discogs.com/Various-Vital-Signs/release/2197398:
Interesting delivery from some powerhouse names of chill-out here. Generally speaking, with various artist compilations, I find them to be lacking in depth and unity.
This one though... my goodness. Just by looking at the cover album, you know you're in for an enjoyable ride. The album was forged in resonance frequencies, with each song crafting a specially enjoyable journey which could ONLY have been done by some mature musicians. Hats off to the group here for a great effort. Though I do not listen to some of these artists individually, I still find their collective effort to be superb and worthy of note.
Also worthy of recognition is Tyler Smith for not only creating the album, directing the vision, and mixing it down, but also for creating some of the most solid tracks ever heard under both of his current monikers - Androcell and Distant System. The other reviews are spot on - Pupillary Response and the brain waves mix of Neurosomatic Circuit are unbelievable tracks. There is so much to love here besides these two stand-out tracks though, which is what makes this album a thoroughly enjoyable listen time and time again.
Check out Respiratory Rate by Solar Fields - marvelous track. And don't miss the transition leading into that track, it's a beautifully soothing way to end Pupillary Response and lead into something way more... breathable. :)
