Ok, I admit it, I lead a stressful life. My work is intense and I get wound up. In order to turn OFF the brain before sleeping, I almost always play this particular CD. The tracks lead you down a path of increased relaxation to the final track, which is related to the singing bowls of "The Chakhra Suite." This last set of scales in pure tones is absolutely the right thing to end the set, and I find that I am floating gently on a cloud of pleasant thoughts by the end of this album.
The "Sleep Soundly" CD is better if you want to drop off to music. I find "Inner Peace" is good for refreshment during the day as well as before bed. Hardly anyone does this kind of relaxation music better than Halpern. Some music is more beautiful, but Halpern knows how to write music that enhances your brain alpha waves. - Joanna D. on October 28, 2005
