Outland - Outland 2.nfo
GENERAL INFORMATION
=====================
Album: Outland 2
Artist: Outland (aka Peter Kuhlmann & Bill Laswell)
Year: 1996
Genre: New Age / Electronic / Ambient / Techno / Tribal
DESCRIPTION
==================
Outland 2 is the second in a set of faraway spacescapes from Bill Laswell and Pete Namlook. Consistent with volume one, this CD has huge sci-fi atmospheres and strange experimental sounds. Spacescape is the right term, too. The title of the series (four volumes at this writing) is accurate. Namlook and Laswell are way off in the farthest reaches of deep space. Deep listeners will tap into the atmospheres and rhythms as the journey progresses beyond the solar system and beyond the stars. This offbeat effort is a great CD. It is among this duo's best albums. It will appeal to fans of Syndromeda, Hemisphere, Ron Boots, Maitreya, and Ian Boddy. It is the strongest disc of this series.
