betaman <betaman@nospam.com> was heard to mutter:
>my alienation from the world has spilled over into this group
>partly because my interest in sound has wanned
>but i had been listening to Emma Shapplin\Carmine Meo in the car
>with a damaged cd
>(my "better" speakers at home play terribly, especially with this)
>and so it goes that i found an "english version" of the cd on amazon
>i ordered the used cd, only to discover that it was not in english
>it just had 3 extra tracks where one of them was in english
>at first i thought that they sent me the wrong cd and complained
>the seller issued me a refund and i bought another copy
>at which point i realized that there was no real english version
>and once again i showed the world what an idiot i am
>i was looking forward to posting something after so much nothing
>but i doubt anyone really cares anyway
>if i am wrong, let me know
As the Irish say, shite happens. I don't think anyone noticed but you.
>...
>well i did need a cd for the car that worked
>but now i have two
>and in my defense...
>i did repay them for the first used cd
My car (new to me) is a 2006 and, although has a lot of nifty
features, it still lacks bluetooth and, more importantly, an Aux
input. Once again I am forced to burn CDs in order to listen to things
on the road. What really gets me is the lack of really good
aftermarket bluetooth adapters. At least none that don't get phone
noise and sounds which sound awful coming through a car system.

I can relate to budget. I give you credit for trying sewing. Not
something I can seem to do. Instead I have taken to finding thrown out
lumber and turning into useful items. My other half now tries to
distract me every time we pass by some house or business that has
tossed out lumber or wood of any decent kind. I get and emphatic no
and nothing to see here as we speed away. /sigh ... Maybe one day my
frugalness will be appreciated on some level.
But hey ... I'm really only visting this planet so one day I may just
pack up and leave you all behind. Centari is looking better I hear.
Excuse me. Mark Watney is calling saying he found some of my stuff.
