extensive and eclectic musical background. Since 1985, he has released more than
twenty albums including his latest on Spring Hill Music, "GRACE". Michael has
gathered numerous accolades over the course of his career, including a GRAMMY
Yearning", and the Association for Independent Music INDIE award for 'Best New
Age Album' for "Afterglow" which also won the Crossroad's Music Award and was
recommended by The Oprah Magazine. "Prayers" narrated by Michael York was
nominated for an Audie Award, and "The Lover" was honored with the Visionary
Award. Michael's music has been featured internationally on numerous TV programs
and feature films, and his songs have been recorded by a variety of singers and
instrumentalists including Tim Wheater, Martin Tillmann, Zamfir, Frank Mills,
Eliza Gilkyson, Cecilia, Louise Di Tullio, Lou Anne Neill, Eugene Fodor, Lily
Haydn, and, on "Solace", the Prague Symphony and Vangelis. He has also scored
feature films including "Misunderstood", and the multi-award winning short film
"Nous Deux Encore" which won Best Score at the Monaco International Film
Festival. The film is featured on his album "Tapestry". Also, he scored the
short film "Eyes of the Wind" which reached the Oscar nomination short list.
He was responsible for bringing such diverse talent as Vangelis, Kitaro, The
Who, Jean-Michael Jarre, and ABBA to PolyGram.
English by birth, Michael has for many years resided in Portland with his wife
Monica.
