A fantastic work by Side Liner, a variety of sounds and styles, but all based in a central idea.
"August" is one of my very favorite tracks on this album. Based on a simple synth line, but sometimes there's a lot of magic behind this kind of simplicity (and "August" is a pure evidence of this fact). "Water everywhere" is the last track of the album. During the first minute, i had a fear if this could become a drum n bass track, or a K&D-like (best option). In the end i loved it. It's more on the K&D and Red Snapper side. Also loved the "physical" sound of the snare. At this point i'd like to mention that the whole production is exceptional. It's not as "rounded" and "bassy" as Ultimae's productions. Things here are more "clear", "separated" and "dry" (yet bassy when is needed), and this adds to the sense of the whole album.
Bottom line...
"Water Everywhere" is one of my very favorite albums, and one of my recommendations for this year. - philoformixx on October 9, 2013
