DESCRIPTION
==================
The online reviews of this album are spot=on. From Within really is yet another buried treasure, hidden gem, whatever you call a great pop album few have heard. You too will be seduced by its perfectly crafted jazzy pop, the sparkling harmonies of Bill and Peggy Richmond, and its overall mellow,slightly trippy vibe. The band is often compared to the Mamas and The Papas which is a good reference point. To these ears they also remind me of the Guess Who " Undone" , Quicksilver Messenger Service"Fresh Air' as well as the Zombies, Rascals, Doors ,Love, and even a hint of Steely Dan. Every song is good but my favorite songs are the haunting melancholic folk ballad Let Her Come In immediately followed by the equally great Please Understand. The Sapphire Thinkers end the album on a high with the longest track on the album the lovely Doin Allright. Beginning with gorgeous vocals and harmonies it soon morphs into a classic West Coast psychedelic jam before a spiraling Cipollina flavored guitar solo fades out blissfully. Turn on a friend to the Sapphire Thinkers! Five Stars.
