Black Gunn distinguishes itself from other Blaxplotation films since
it operates from the premise that the black lead is successful and to
an extant integrated with the mainstream society. The majority of
Blaxploitation films usually place the black protagonist into a
situation where is no other option but to last out. In this film that
action occurs only it is the brother of the protagonist that has been
pushed, (or pushed himself), into the position where a violent
