FWIW, in my pile of scribbles I found a note claiming that
"The de Nueve/Neuve Sisters" are probably Alan and Laurie Colberg.

Somebody who's willing to sift thru what we think we know about
the Colbergs and Ms Thorpe's adventures might be able to sort out
why _some_ of the Colberg films vanished and why he/they were at
such pains to conceal their identities in _some_ instances.
