You're talking mostly movies that are 35-45 years old now, from a time when we were just emerging from "If they told you you were born in the '50s, they lied - nobody got laid in the '50s". So it's a time capsule for many. Memories of a time when it seemed many of us were starting to be a lot more honest about who we were and what we wanted.
Fucking wasn't the most important thing in our lives then and it isn't the most important thing in our lives now.
