I must beg additional help, however.  I can not get the *.sub format subtitles to work on dvd, I can not add them to the video files.  I have Freemake, AVS Video Converter, and DVD Flick, none of which will accept the *.sub format.  I see that there are subtitles already in your mkv files, I tried copying them directly onto a dvd blank but my dvd player will not play them.  I tried converting the mkv files with Freemake to see if the encoded subtitles would somehow work, but no they don't.  Any advice?
