You'll need to install a few programs first. You can Google for all of
these. Many have FREE versions.
Winar or Winzip will both unpack either .rar or .zip files as well as
many other formats of packed files. I prefer Winrar but that's just
me.
Next, you need a program called Quickpar. FREE
You also need a program to rejoin some file types. You can use either
Master-Splitter of HJSplit. Both FREE. I use Master-Splitter.
If you plan on viewig video files you also need a few things
installed:
First you need video codecs. I suggest K-Lite codec pack. Again,
Google for it. It's also FREE. Read the instructions BEFORE installing
it.
Then you need an assortment of video players because no one will
always be able to handle everything. Again, most are FREE.
VLC PLayer
MediaPLayerCLassic Home Cinema (this comes bundled up in the latest
version of the K-Lite codec pack I mentioned.
GOM PLayer
BSPLayer
Quicktime Player
ALSHow
IVIVO Player
DivX Player
