If you are a fan of youtube then you want to download the vids.  I have
been using Keepvid.com for many years.  But this extension for Firefox -
Chrome - Safari and Opera works as advertised.

https://github.com/YePpHa/YouTubeCenter/wiki

There are some instructions on how to use it with Internet Explorer but
IE is no longer an option for me as I have an older laptop running
Windows 7 and IE (the latest) will not install unless I have Service
Pack 1 and that requires me to download 2 GB of updates before I ever
get to SP1 install.  Using a 3g wireless connection of about 150kps - no
thanks.

Also you can use the extension to preload the entire video for playback
if you are on a slow connecction by just hitting the pause button.

Nice little toy
