Also I remember being made to hold hands with a classmate in grade
school whenever we went anywhere. It's a primative method of crowd
control. It's like the teachers only had to manage half as many kids.
I'm surprised they didn't tie us together at the wrist :).
God forbid you wound up holding the hand of a member of the opposite
gender: you might get cooties :)
