In answering another person I came up with the perfect solution for those
folks who do not get YAB or WALS. I do not need to cross-post. But you
folks need to add another server to your newsreader. It is totally free.
Astraweb started this way with a free usenet account. At the time I was
with AT&T Worldnet and they decided to stop carrying newsgroups.
Astraweb was dependable as a free server and I continued with them.
These folks are also dependable. I have ben with themm for about two
years along with Astraweb and posting is allowed - but not binaries on a
free account - messages only.
so .. see the copy of the message I sent another visitor. I will post
thumbs here and let you decide if you wish to visit YAB.
thanks and have a great day!
Well - if you want a totally FREE usenet server then go to -
https://www.xsusenet.com
It is totally free without any hidden charges or fees. No credit nfo
asked - just a valid email address for confirmation. On the free plan
the retention is only 10 days. At Astraweb all things posted within the
last six to seven years - whatever group - are still on the server that
Astraweb itself owns. Say you want an old movie - look it up on
binsearch.info - find the group and then download the NZB file that
binsearch gives you. Pass that over to your NZB client and it will
download the movie from the Astraweb (or whatever server you have) site.
So yes - you can pay - or you can get it free. With a paid service you
get so mch more if it is a premium server like Astraweb. I have been
with them since they started - and no - they keep no logs of posts.
