Why aren't you using Freenet? It's free, for one thing, doesn't
require NNTP servers. All the models and on topic material are
already on there - no passwords.
Visit freenetproject.org and install the freenet software. It is
encrypted, anonymous data transfer between all participants. It has
been developed for censorship-free communications around the world,
whether for reporting in dictatorships, or...for the kind of stuff in
this group.
Freesites, and files, are stored in pieces over the universe of users
so there is no website to go down.
All the images and videos of interest to you are already curated there
and maintained by very dedicated users who voluntarily ensure the data
is original, fresh and accessible. If files aren't accessed for
long periods, then that storage (the aggregate disk drive freenet
folders of users), is overwritten with newer material as it is
'inserted'.
Yes, it's tricky to start, but people help.
Download Tor and install. Use the Tor browser (Firefox derivative) to
view and configure the initial Freenet installation.
Download Freenet, the underlying transport mechanism, and install.
Download Frost-Next (a newer version of the original Frost) message
board software, and finally,
Download Fuqid, an advanced download/upload manager.
It will take some time to get used to it. It's not fast, as
downloading a file requires time to acquire and assemble the pieces
from the many thousands of online systems. The more people who
participate, the more online storage becomes available to store images
(usually in .rar format), and videos. The message board is
essential, and the download manager is exceptionally well done,
although you can download files using the built-in mechanism (called
FProxy) that opens in the browser when you first start Freenet.
It is a massive archive, and you will be very happy.

After installation and loading, access to Freenet via the browser is
now through a resident software port at http://127.0.0.1:8888/ . You
add the key to the site you wish to visit at the end and paste in the
address field of your browser. Freesites specifically do not use
javascript and the Freenet mechanism removes any scripts as a site is
opened.
