I'm sure most are dead by now but I do know that if you know the unit
a particular soldier was in it's probably not impossible to find that
info.
At times I still feel uneasy when posting photos of Wehrmacht dead in
gravesites in Russia where the names are clearly legible.
My associate, who is German, tells me all German graves in Russia were
destroyed by the soviets during the war.
I believe the Wehrmacht documented some of the larger gravesites but
I'm sure there were many where that was not possible.
