Troops examine an abandoned Soviet BT-7 light tank that had become
bogged down in a muddy field. Almost as many tanks were lost to this
cause as by gunfire by both sides. Of course many of the mired tanks
were shot up anyway after they were abandoned. This one, armed with a
45mm gun, appears to have been spared and might eventually see German
service for rear area security.
