Hmmm, I thought I had it (4 South Dakota class), but false lead.
From trying Google, Images, 4 S- D- Class, I saw likely,
it is easiest seen about 2/3 down the screen at
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Dakota-class_battleship_%281939%29
. But, as caption says, "Indiana leading Massachusetts and the
heavy cruisers USS Chicago and USS Quincy shortly before
the bombardment of Kamaishi on 14 July 1945.
This photo was taken from South Dakota."
Well, so that tells us, that 3 were together at one time!
But, I'm not able to find a picture of it (nor of 4).
