An armored column of theThuringian-Hessian 1st Panzer Division, part
of Panzer Group 3, on the march around October 4, 1941 at the start of
"Typhoon"
They are probably headed toward Sytschewka and they would eventually
succeed in crossing the Volga in an eastward direction at Kalinin,
later that month.
