border guards. Rear left a German Zollbe mater has joined the German
troops. The last surrender was after 7 days.
Russian Defenders fought on until June 30. Still 7,000 men of the 6th
and 42nd Russian Schtitzendivisiqn were still alive.
The German losses were 482 killed and 1,000 wounded
Hitler sent word that prisoners were to be treated humanely because of
their bravery.
