Yup.
Op Matador was in Anbar province, and basically was a military success and a
political failure, because the Marines did not have the numbers to garrison the
border smuggling places that they conquered, and thus had to withdraw. Of
course the insurgents came back right after their withdrawal and were basically
left as kings of hill like before.
