Whereas your sentiment is compassionate and noble, I am less forgiving. It is
well documented the Wehrmacht and every branch of the armed forces of Nazi
Germany were complicit in a multitude of grievous war crimes.
A government cannot survive without support of the populace. All of Germany was
guilty, as was all of Japan. Unfortunately, a new evil is on the rise under the
guise of Islam.
Hopefully, there are enough people in positions of authority who have well
learned the lessons of Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan, the USSR and the Peoples
Republic of China. If not, the world will be facing yet another genocide and a
prolonged, worldwide conflict.
It is nauseating when one stops and considers the possibilities.
