Unteroffizier HANS SDUN was born on July 12, 1920. In WW2 he served as
battalion). He was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd and 1st Class, the
General Assault Badge, the Wounded Badge in black and one Tank
Destroyer Badge (for knocking out a KV-1 with a magnetic shaped
charge). As gunner in the assault gun of Knight's Cross holder
Lieutenant Georg Bose he knocked out 13 soviet tanks before becoming a
StuG commander himself. Unteroffizier (Sergeant) Sdun was killed in
action on July 24, 1944 in the central sector of the eastern front.
