Esteban, I believe there is some problem at your side.
Is your windows localized to a Latin language?
Somehow, it seems your Xnews is failing to detect the filenames.
It shouldn't happen with UTF applications, but I don't use Xnews, don't know
it.
My question about localized Windows has a reason, some localizations use ;
as separation of values instead of , what confuses even Excel.
Finally: the 256 chars long filenames is not a Usenet limitation. And not
everybody uses the same operating system you do.
