Actually I just replaced the non-panel arreas (borders, etc) with a
clean aged paper background and applied a minor curves adjustment to
just the panels to slightly punch up the colors. Always a matter of
choice, but I was going for a clean version of the original scan (an
aged book -- 77 years! :-).
