I don't know if there is anything similar - Mr Monster is pretty
unique! I do know that Michael T Gilbert is heavily influenced by Will
Eisner's Spirit comics. It's maybe not a million miles away from some
of the better Judge Dredd stories from 2000AD, too. And Harvey
Kurtzman-era MAD, maybe? Jack Cole-era Plastic Man?
