Quite possibly because you're using Windows Mail 6.0 for your
newsreader which doesn't understand yenc. Might I suggest getting a
real newsreader, such as xnews (which the last I knew of was free to
download) and quite easy to use. Why Micro$oft still hasn't built in
yenc compatibility into their news/mail client is beyond reason.
